Heavy cut crystal vase in a beautiful yellow crystal glass A Bohemian Art Glass Secession era Vase. The style and cut of this vase is consistent with works produced by the Moser firm between 1925 1935. The cut glass is 1/2" thick. Condition: tiny flea bits on the flat bottom and scratches and roughness on the flat bottom consistent with use and age. This is a very heavy cut glass bowl with a great color. There are 12 cut glass sides around the bowl and 6 cut glass separations vertically up the side of the bowl.

Lead crystal, (also called crystal), is lead glass that has been hand or machine cut with facets. Lead oxide added to the molten glass gives lead crystal a much higher index of refraction than normal glass, and consequently much greater "sparkle". The presence of lead also makes the glass softer and easier to cut. Crystal can consist of up to 35% lead, at which point it has the most sparkle. The higher lead content also makes it much more difficult to form crystal during manufacturing.
