The image 'Blonde' is from the series "My Affair with Diana". The ‘My Affair with Diana" series began when I realized that the vintage, analog 'Diana' toy camera I began working with had similar characteristics to women I was familiar with. The inconsistent nature of her images has been the inspiration. One minute she’s quiet, dark and mysterious, the next she surprises me with her provocative elegance and sharp focus. Many hidden complexities surface to create an interesting dialogue between a unique camera and the female form I’m expressing. These images illustrate the rare beauty created from a simple film camera without the use of modern technology. By taking away the technical aspect of picture making, a sincere representation of the subject matter and vision of the photographer becomes evident. Daniel Grant was raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Gemini-nominated cinematographer Daniel Grant developed an interest in image-making at a young age through still photography. Matched with a love of film, this led him to pursue the craft of cinematography. Upon graduating from the film studies program at Ryerson University, he was awarded 1st Prize for Student Cinematography in Canada by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC). Since then he has accumulated a wide variety of credits as a cinematographer on over fifty short films, documentaries, and several feature films, including Canada’s first live-action 3D feature, Dead Before Dawn. His work has been shown at festivals around the world, such as Berlin, Sundance, Slamdance, and TIFF. In 2011, the CSC recognized him again with a nomination for his work on the drama Hangnail, and he was also recently nominated for a Gemini for the documentary Love at the Twilite Motel.

Nude photography is any photograph which depicts the nude human body.
Glamour photography is a genre of photography whereby the subjects, usually female, are portrayed in a romantic or sexually alluring way. The subjects may be fully clothed or semi-nude, but glamour photography stops short of deliberately arousing the viewer and being pornographic photography.
Here the emphasis is not on the beauty or eroticism of the picture but on the subject and technical purpose for which the image was produced. The nude image may be used for analysis or to accompany medical or other text books, scientific reports, articles or research papers. They are essentially of an illustrative nature, and so nude photographs of this type are often labeled to show key features in a supporting context.
