THE ANGEL SERIES: The Nest 20 "H X 30W" Photo/archival print with oil paint "The Nest" is a collaboration between oil painter Brady Hart and photographer Kristin Anderson. It is not surprising that this creative couple would merge there respective crafts to create a completely original work. The photo of the angel was taken in studio then transferred to canvas in a process known as archival printing. After the photo image is super imposed onto the canvas the painting phase begins. Photo imagery, color, texture and subject matter all work together in this collaboration to deliver a dreamy surreal effect that transports the viewer to another strange and beautiful world. This is a harmonious merging of two art forms brought to life by two established artists in there respective fields. Kristin Anderson was born in New Haven and grew up along the shore towns of CT. At the age of 18 she moved to NYC and began working as an actress, make up artist and freelance manicurist. Kristin has worked with VOGUE, ELLE, MADEMOISELLE, BRITISH VOGUE, JANE, GLAMOUR, VOGUE NIPPON, ALLURE, BAZAAR, MARIE CLAIRE, SELF, COSMO, BLACKBOOK, REDBOOK, US NEWS, GQ and numerous advertising campaigns including COACH, TOD'S GILLETTE, OIL of OLAY, VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, EMANUELLE, COLE HAAN, COVER GIRL, KEDZ, LIZ CLAIBORNE and more. Brady Hart is a professional oil painter that lives and works in Los Los Angeles. He has been published in BLACKBOOK MAGAZINE. Solo art exhibition, MERCER GALLERIES, Soho NY 2001

Collaboration—or joint production by two or more artists—is a common style among musicians and performance artists. It has not been so popular, on the other hand, in the world of art, and especially in modern art. But the strong sense of individualism long possessed by artists of fine art began to wane around the 1960s, and some artists working in units have emerged and become widely known along with the development of new media based on the advances in information technology. They have changed the concept of art into something that can be engaged in by more than individual artists alone.
