This coin Looks to date back to the time of two great Beatrice. This is a miniature bronze portrait of Beatrice d'Ester, we think? An old piece, probably from 15th century or beginning of the 16th century- A rare find these days! We see it as a renaissance woman in bronze, Beatrice d'Este (29 June 1475 – 3 January 1497) The wife of the Milanese ruler Ludovico Sforza (known as "il Moro"). Beatrice belonged to the best class of Renaissance women, and was one of the cultural influences of the age; to a great extent, her patronage and good taste are responsible for the splendor of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the Certosa of Pavia, and many other famous buildings in Lombardy. A fresco with her portrait faces da Vinci's Last Supper in the refectory of Santa Maria Delle Grazie in Milan. Some credit her for indirectly being the inspiration for Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. ** The other? Is Beata Beatrice A Catholic Saint.- DIVA BEATRIX HUNGARIAE REGINA. Beata Beatrice II d'Este. " But "beta" here means "blessed," not "beautiful" and the name apparently refers to a 13th ancestor of our Beatrice who was "beatified" as a Catholic saint. Saint Beatrice de Silva was born of Portuguese parents at Ceuta on Moroccan soil and manifested a special attachment to our Immaculate Mother very early in life. At the court of the king of Castile, she was presented and cast into prison by a jealous queen, but by the visible intervention of the Immaculate Queen of heaven, she was released and justified with great honor. Then she left the court and went to Toledo. On the journey thither St Francis and St Anthony appeared to her and announced that she would be the founder of a new order. At Toledo, Saint Beatrice de Silva repaired to a convent of Cistercian nuns and remained there for almost 40 years. She did not don the religious garb; nevertheless, she was a model of religious perfection. All of the art is edited and chosen by us for its high quality and workmanship before posting. A commemorative plaque, or simply plaque, is a plate of metal, ceramic, stone, wood, or other material, typically attached to a wall, stone, or other vertical surface, and bearing text or an image in relief, or both, in memory of one or more persons, an event, a former use of the place, or some other thing. A monumental plaque or tablet commemorating a deceased person or persons, can be a simple form of church monument. Most modern plaques affixed in this way are commemorative of something, but this is not always the case, and there are purely religious plaques, or those signifying ownership or affiliation of some sort. A plaquette is a small plaque, but in English, unlike many European languages, the term is not typically used for outdoor plaques fixed to walls.
Plaques or, more often, plaquettes, are also given as awards instead of trophies or ribbons. Such plaques usually bear text describing the reason for the award and, often, the date of the award.
