Unique Antique Arts & Craft Heavy Bronze Top Dish Coin Tray Bowl: We are pleased to offer this unique and wonderful vintage piece. It is a bronze coin or tip or change tray. This design succeeded in embodying the very soul of the Arts and Crafts Movement. A classic look of a timeless design and bronze finish. The Arts and Crafts Movement began in 1910, as a quest for authentic design and traditional craftsmanship. The Arts and Crafts world develop one of the most excellent examples of the movement’s aesthetic. A nice patina which plays beautifully against the lightly oxidized bronze. There are several marks on the top and underside of the main dish. The dish shows slightly more wear and spotting, which also shows a few areas of mottled oxidization and a few light surface scratches. Overall, it remains in very good vintage condition.
The first known use of the term tableware was in 1766, dinnerware in 1895 and dishware in 1946.
