This wooden masterpiece is a revolutionary art creation that is composed in substance of 1800 wood fragments intricately put together to produce the final depiction. Aside from the artwork’s foundation, the entirety of this piece has been constructed using only miniature wood pieces and a water-based glue. In addition to its natural artistry, the piece is unique in having been composed by utilizing the least amount of chemical influence possible. This creation incorporates medium-density fibreboard (MDF wood) as its base; the separated fibers of MDF wood allows the composition to be stronger and more resistant to temperature and pressure – ensuring this quality piece will last nearly a lifetime. Applications of natural mundane colors were enhanced through the process of slightly varnishing the wood upon completion of the illustration. This method of “painting” produces a sustainable plaster to ensure long-time upkeep as well. This art piece is both delicate and natural; a masterpiece of this magnitude takes over 90 days to compose, accompanied by hundreds of hours of manual labor to piece together the wood fragments in such a way that this beautiful depiction of Christ Pantocrator could be observed – this process makes this piece far more detailed and elaborate than a traditional art painting. This artwork has been created to portray a landscape of art mastery that can only be accomplished through a thorough understanding of art itself. A combination of great skill and a sound art judgment were used to conclude this creative endeavor. This Christ Pantocrator piece has been emphasized in artfulness through both its brilliant details and enduring structure. This wooden masterpiece is the only one of its kind and has never nor will ever be replicated or reproduced. It is a coveted piece of religious art that cannot be purchased from any other artist.
The History Behind This Icon:
The iconic image of Christ Pantocrator was one of the first images of Christ
developed in the Early Christian Church.
The most common translation of Pantocrator is "Ruler of All" or"Ruler of All"
or "Sustainer of the World".
In the half-length image, Christ holds the book of the Gospels in His left hand
and blesses with His right hand.
The icon portrays Christ as the Righteous Judge and the Lover of Mankind,
both at the same time. The Gospel is the book by which we are judged, and
the blessing proclaims God's loving kindness toward us, showing us that He
is giving us His forgiveness.
