This is a beautiful and small crystal cobalt blue ball, This sphere is made by first crushing natural quartz into fine pieces, then melting it down into molten quartz glass. Then poured into molds and finally finished in traditional crystal ball methods. The melting process removes 99% of all impurities usually found in all natural quartz. Prominent in the Middle Ages, Scryers (Fortune Tellers) revered their crystal balls, often passing them on to their apprentices. Still used extensively today, and just as prized, the ball must be optically flawless.

A crystal ball is a crystal or glass ball believed to aid clairvoyance. It is sometimes known as a shew stone. A body of water, either in a container or on the ground, used for this purpose, is called a scrying pool. Celtic tribes, known to exist in Britain as early as 2,000 B.C., were unified by a priesthood known as Druids. Druids are one of the earliest known peoples to have used crystals in divination. Later, during central Europe's Medieval Period (500 1500 AD), seers, wizards, sorcerers, psychics, gypsies, fortune tellers, and all other types of diviners also used crystals to "see" into the past, present, or future.
