Early one Saturday morning I decided to escape the house and drive out to Pt Reyes in Marin County not only to photograph but perhaps to enjoy some oysters on the half shell along with a good brew. Stopping at Johnson's Oyster Farm I walked out back to see this magnificent old red truck along with a lone boy standing in the distance near the boats. I decided it best to lay prone on the gravel path to capture a low angle shot of these two subjects. All of a sudden and out of virtually nowhere this gaggle of geese honking like mad attacked me and my camera. The first one you see in the image literally struck the lens of my Nikon while I snapped the shutter catching him in the act. This is an original Kodachrome 35mm slide that was scanned into digital format and is printed using the Lightjet 50 laser printer onto Fuji archival paper either glossy or matte finish, then mounted and overmatted on museum quality acid free rag board then framed with a Nielsen #11 anodic black aluminum frame. Shipped with acrylic instead of glass. This image won Best of Class Marin County Fair 2002. This edition is limited to 10 and signed by me.

Point Reyes is a prominent cape on the Pacific coast of northern California. It is located in Marin County approximately 30 miles (50 km) WNW of San Francisco. The term is often applied to the Point Reyes Peninsula, the region bounded by Tomales Bay on the northeast and Bolinas Lagoon on the southeast. The headland is protected as part of Point Reyes National Seashore.
