This is a brass/bronze put'n'take from early to mid-20th century. People love this game. If you own one you will be a big hit with one of these! Put-&-TakeĀ was first played in old Victorian England as a pub game, Legend has it that the game was adapted by British soldiers during WW I who would split down their bullets, file and engrave the flats to create this superb gambling game to occupy their time in the trenches. It is believed they would play for cigarettes, money, food etc. Later Put-&-Take was manufactured as we see it today and played in pubs for money. This is a old spinner made from the finest quality brass grade which is machined using state of the art tool, turning centers and precision balanced for a piece that will spin perfectly and last forever. Blacked in Letters so it is easy to read. This is the old "Pun N Take" spinner game, w you can have as many players as you want, everyone puts in a token ($$) then one person starts by spinning the top - the player must do what the spinners says when it lands - t is a Put One, Put Two, Take One, Take Two, Put All (this means you have to match the pot, but the more common way is to have everyone put in one token), and Take All. Once someone hits the Take All, they get the pot, everyone puts in another token ($$) and the game starts again.

Simple game provides hours of fun.
Here is how the Put and Take game is played: Every one antes into the pot, then you take turns spinning the top and following the directions for the side it lands on. "P" stands for Put - meaning you put or pay into the pot. "T" stands for Take - meaning you take or get paid from the pot. The numbers tell you how many to Put or Take. "AP" stands for All Pay - meaning all the players must put into the pot. And the one everyone is hoping to get when they spin is the "TA" which stands for Take All - meaning you win the whole pot! After someone wins the pot, everyone antes back up and the top gets passed to the next player to spin.
Easy right? Don't let how easy it is fool you - because you will not believe how much fun it is to play. Of course that is the basic rules - but there are many ways to change the way the game is played and what is going into the pot - check out game variations.
The stake in Put 'n' Take can be whatever you want, think of the possibilities !!!! As versatile as dice. Play anywhere, with anyone, for anything !!! The Spinner has 6 sides marked as follows :Put One, Put Two, All Put, Take One, Take Two, Take All.
The Game can be played by 2 or more players. Play begins when each player "Puts in" a stake that is pre-determined by the players. Each player then takes a turn spinning the Put 'n' Take When the top falls it will show what the player has won or lost E.G "Take One" means the player who spun wins one unit of whatever the stake is. Or "All Put" where each player puts in one extra unit and so on....The game is over when a player spins and the Top falls on "Take All" At this point the lucky winner takes all of the pot. Everyone would then submit a new stake to start a new game and the winner would take the first spin.
