He seeks to translate a complex reality into symbols of our mutual understanding, to bring typographic clarity and reasoning to the human condition. Henrik Delehag was born in 1973 in Stockholm, Sweden. He spent formative years in New Zealand, where he mastered the tribal Maori art of bone carving. He received his formal education in typography at Berghs in Stock- holm and went on to have a successful career as an art director. His work has been on display at Frieze, Art Sablon, and MoMa. He is also one half of the artist duo Benrk and has published a dozen best-selling books. Since 2000 he lives in London. His studio is set within the bell room of a 19th-century church-tower.
