Luxury watch / Rodolphe Automatic By Swiss Watchland 44. The great styled watchmaker and designer Rodolphe Timepiece. The watch is in steel in black PVD and 44mm wide. The watch uses an automatic Swiss movement with a chronograph mechanism and big date. The dial is handsome with applied features making for a nice and clear, yet three-dimensional look. It also has an inner rotating diver's bezel. From a pure style perspective, the watch does a good job at adding the Rodolphe trendy forward-thinking and brand characteristic design to the watch genre. Rodolphe watches are patiently manufactured with careful attention to details by Rodolphe's master watchmakers. All parts and components are from manufacturers established in Switzerland. The Rodolphe watch benefits from its historic values of Switzerland and satisfy the quality and expertise of Swiss watchmaking. Many people consider preowned Rodolphe watches, used Rodolphe watches & second hand Rodolphe watches all the same, but a Gray & Sons Rodolphe watch is something different altogether. All our Rodolphe timepieces are serviced and polished to like-new condition and come with our twelve-month warranty and "Like New for Life" policy. Our after-sales service commitment is second to none in the world, backed by our six in house Swiss-trained watchmakers and jewelers.
'Wristwatch Annual '09'. It is made by Rodolphe. The model is the Paninaro 44 Automatic Chrono Large Date. This photo doesn't do it any justice at all. I can't find a better image on line, but it looks super cool. Talk about a signature watch. Says it runs at 28,800 vph, 49 jewels and a reworked ETA 2892. Sapphire front and back and 5 atm. About the same as a basic Rolex as far as money - $6,600.

A watch is a timepiece that is made to be worn on a person. It is usually a wristwatch, attached to the wrist with a strap or bracelet. In addition to the time, modern watches often display the day, date, month and year, and electronic watches may have many other functions. Most inexpensive and medium-priced watches used mainly for timekeeping are electronic watches with quartz movements. Expensive, collectible watches valued more for their workmanship and aesthetic appeal than for simple timekeeping, often have purely mechanical movements and are powered by springs, even though mechanical movements are less accurate than more affordable quartz movements. Before wristwatches became popular in the 1920s, most watches were pocket watches, which often had covers and were carried in a pocket and attached to a watch chain or watch fob. Watches evolved in the 17th century from spring powered clocks, which appeared in the 15th century.
A movement in watchmaking is the mechanism that measures the passage of time and displays the current time (and possibly other information including date, month and day). Movements may be entirely mechanical, entirely electronic (potentially with no moving parts), or a blend of the two. Most watches intended mainly for timekeeping today have electronic movements, with mechanical hands on the face of the watch indicating the time.
