I was living in Los Angeles for a few months, an unidentified illness at the time was consuming my energies and social abilities. I was misdiagnosed numerous times and evidently was very close to collapse only a few weeks later and was diagnosed with meningitis. I had met with Maria on a photo-shoot I conducted for a make up school. We instantly became good friends. The light in Maria's place was moody and interesting to me. We decided to take some photos and Maria rushed to do her make up. She was running around topless the whole day and pretty much set my mind on wicked mode. I first took pictures of her smoking. We got what we wanted right at the beginning. It was a very inspiring day and all the images have exceeded my exceptions by far."
