A rare 18th-century traveling document box. Decorative chest-like container made of yak leather decorated in religious designs. This is an Antique Handmade Leather Tibetan Traveling Keepsake box. This box is beautifully painted by a master Monk Artisan. It probably carried a variety of religious items As the month traveled through Tibet. A container from Tibet. Made from heavy thick leather and copper hardware and finished with Tibetan Handpainted Designs threw out the box. Traveling altar used by the monks who go on pilgrimage. Condition is good for its age, there are lots of age traces. See pictures.
