An Indian antique steel bow, 19th century. A fantastic example of an antique silver inlaid Indian Persian bow weapon for an arrow. A superb quality antique,19th century. Indo Persian steel bow of typical form, recurved form composed of two elements connected together at the central swelling grip. The exterior finely chiseled and engraved in relief with a classical Indian Asian Persian design. Absolutely beautiful workmanship! Showing the age, wear, and usage, with nice age patina. Incised with panels of stylized sterling silver designs and flowerheads within damascene panels of foliate scroll -- 32½in. long. Come's with a custom black steel stand. Damascene niello floral Oriental motifs. Finished with an overall swirled oxidized pattern.
